I originally started blogging to give my family and friends a way to keep up with my adventures living and working in the Dominican Republic. My time there was enlightening, amazing, and, at times, absolutely terrifying. Living in a developing country, teaching art and business development to women working in prostitution, and dealing with the day-to-day obstacles taught me innumerable things about myself and the type of person I am and want to be. It also taught me that I like to tell stories as much as I like to read them, and so, when I returned to the states I kept blogging – and life has offered no shortage of material. Enjoy!
